Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of the classic trails in the famed Annapurna region which offers you an easy walking journey in the wonderful land of the Annapurna region of northwest Nepal. In the route, we will have a wonderful opportunity to experience Nepali villages, local people, and their way of living a traditional life in the Himalayan part of Nepal. It is quite an easy and shorter trek than other high-altitude treks in Nepal. Trekking in this region is without a doubt one of the world’s most wonderful destinations which are perfect for nature lovers. It proves to be a popular tourist destination that provides a Mecca of magnificent snow-capped mountains, sweeping glaciers, and a natural paradise with a wide variety of people from many different ethnic groups. At the time of trekking, we will pass through some of the most stunning scenery in the world. It is one of the most popular and relatively easy treks that meander through the beautiful ethnic villages of the Annapurna region. The trek is the perfect one for you which offers an easy walk on the first day of the trek. It is an area of spectacular scenery, trekking through charming village inhabitants by the Gurung’s. The trek is perfect for people of all age groups and is suitable as a family trek as well.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek via Ghorepani Poon Hill takes you through the fantastic villages of Ghandruk and Chhomrong Gurung village. You have a brilliant and enjoyable trip to this wonderful land. The trek also offers a wide range of several villages along the way with ethnicities and diverse cultural attractions including sacred mountains and the highest lake in the world. This is a spectacular retreat that matches the amazing beauty of nature with a taste of the unique local culture that makes your journey so wholesome. The trek combines pristine natural scenery of the rhododendron forest and incredible Himalayan views on the backdrop. This most popular trekking begins from Pokhara valley is also known as the city of the lake because the city is surrounded by the Lake. The trek offers one of the majestic views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, and many other mountains of this route. We have a chance to enter the Annapurna Conservation Area which is well known as the home of many rare animals, birds, flora, and fauna. For trekking, the perfect time also needed, and the perfect season for trekking February to June and September to November. We use the mountain lodges referred to as the teahouse for our feedings and accommodations.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Day 03: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and trek to Ulleri (2000m.) 5 hrs
Day 04: Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani (2870m.) 5 hrs
Day 05: Hike up to Poon Hill (3210m.) and trek to Tadapani (2660m.) 6 hrs
Day 06: Trek from Tadapani to Chommrong (2170m.) 5 hrs
Day 07: Trek from Chommrong to Dovan (2350m.) 5 hrs
Day 08: Trek from Dovan to Deurali (3200m.) 5 hrs
Day 09: Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m.) 5 hrs

Details Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (Kathmandu), our representatives from the Himalayan Trekking Guide (Dhansingh Gurung) will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 02:Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist bus it takes 6/7 hour by tourist bus, You will be enjoying the best views of the Himalayas from the air.
Well, Pokhara offers magnificent views of Machhapuchhre, Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, five peaks of Annapurna, and others. We can explore numerous lakes in Pokhara. We will stay overnight in a hotel in Pokhara.

Day 03: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and trek to Ulleri Today, we begin our trek at Nayapul after 1-hour driving by a private vehicle from Pokhara.

And then after 15 minutes of short walk along the bank of Modi Khola, we will reach Birethanti. Trek starts from Birethanti to Ulleri which will take around three and half hours following the river to Lumle for lunch. One the way, you will be observing the beautiful farming lands and people working there. Finally, we will reach Ulleri.

Day 04: Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani Leaving Ulleri (2070m.)

we begin our trek with a steep climb to Ulleri. Well, Ulleri is a large Magar village at an altitude of 2070m. Following the ascending trek through the beautiful dense rhododendron, magnolia forests will bring us to Ghorepani. The best time to see rhododendron and magnolia flowers is in the spring (March-April). We will stay at the guesthouse tonight.

Day 05: Hike up to Poon Hill and trek to Tadapani

Today, very early in the morning, we will start an hour hiking to Poon Hill for the best sunrise view in the panorama of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massif. And then we return to Ghorepani. Leaving Ghorepani following the beautiful dense forests will then bring you to Tadapani, which will be the destination for today.

Day 06: Trek from Tadapani to Chommrong

The day starts with steep downhill through dense rhododendron forests. Then, leaving Tadapani and following the trail will bring us to Chommrong. Common offers close-up views of Annapurna South, Himchuli, and Fishtail Mountain. Chommrong is the gateway to Annapurna Base Camp.

Day 07: Trek from Chommrong to Dovan

Today, the trail drops down to Chommrong Khola and again we continue climbing to Khuldighar where there is an Annapurna Conservation Area Check Post. After crossing the forest, we will reach Dovan.

Day 08: Trek from Dovan to Deurali

Today will be a short walking day. Our day begins with the climb through the forest to the Himalayan Hotel where we will have our lunch. After lunch, the trail goes gently uphill towards Hinku Cave. Then finally, we will reach Deurali. Overnight, we will stay at the guesthouse.

Day 09: Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp

Today is our special day in terms of the views. We will be starting early in the morning at ABC. The reason we start early is that we have to cross the avalanche areas before 12 at noon. After crossing the avalanche areas, we will trek uphill through the bamboo forests for about an hour to reach the Machhapuchhre Base Camp, which isn’t really a base camp since climbing the mountain is not permitted. Two hours of trek from Machhapuchhre Base Camp will take you to the Annapurna Base Camp at the elevation of 4130m, where you will enjoy the breath-taking surrounding views of the Himalayas. Overnight, we will stay at the guesthouse.

Day 10: Trek from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo

Today, we follow the same trail down to the bank of Modi Khola to Bamboo where there are few teahouses and lodges available to stay.

Day 11: Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Hot Spring

We follow the same trail until Chommrong. Once we have passed Khuldighar, there is an experimental sheep farm. Then, the trail continues through the rhododendron forest. Descending down from Chommrong will take us to Jhinu Hot Spring where you can bathe in natural hot springs.

Day 12: Trek from Jhinu Hot Spring to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara
From Jhinu Hot Spring, we walk at the right side of Modi Khola for 4 and half hours to Birethanti which is considered to be one of the best and relaxing walks of the entire trek. Then, we reach Nayapul and an hour’s drive from Nayapul will bring us to Pokhara city.

Day 13:Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist bus
Today, we will catch our early morning returning flight to Kathmandu. The flight takes about 35 minutes to reach Kathmandu. In the remaining time, you can explore Kathmandu city or you can go shopping. In the evening, we will celebrate the farewell dinner with our trekking crew.

Day 14: Final Departure

You are saying goodbye to the mountains as your journey in Nepal comes to an end today! We will transfer you to the airport for your returning flight.
